Cam went to a lantern lighting ceremony last night called Toro Nagashi. This is an annual event held by the Na Lei Aloha Foundation and Shinnyo-en Hawaii out at Ala Moana Beach. The floating of the lanterns comforts the spirits of the deceased and are said to ferry spirits from the sea of delusion to the shore of salvation. Supposedly there was a famous Japanese Budist there (pictured in orange)that Cam said all the Japanese people around were bowing to her. He didn't know who it was but will try to figure it out in the next few days.
