Proteas and King Proteas

Maui has this special flower that grows only in Maui. Some people (super green thumbs)have been able to grow them elsewhere with extra care. They require the altitude and the weather conditions. They have no smell but are the most unusual and beautiful flower. I picked up a pretty bouquet for Aunty Rose and gave it to her when we flew back to Oahu. It is one of her favorite flowers.

Lavender Farms in Kula

This tour was my most favorite thing. We carted around and the tour guide explained all the different types of lavender. They also had other flowers and plants that they use in the ingredients of their products they sell.
