Last night we went to Roys for a going away dinner. Our friends and neighbors Gene and Becky Devine will be leaving for Arizona. Becky's father is sick and she wants to be near him to help out. Our other neighbors, the Gafneys, joined us and their daughter Morgan looked so beautiful. Anyway we all had a nice dinner and great company.

A night out with the Active Rain Bloggers

 

 

 

 

We spent an evening with the Active Rain bloggers that David hangs out with online. They were all very nice and we had such a nice evening. The appetizers kept coming.
Jay is our preferred lender and he is in the Green shirt....trying out the beer sampler.
Jerry is the older man retired from the Army years ago when the HUM V was introduced.
Matt is the owner/founder of Active Rain......I'm told a multi millionaire.

My favorites...........

While out working Wednesday and Thursday for the Pro-Am, there are times that we see our favorite golfers. Even though I don't watch golf like David does, I know who the greats are....and I can recognize them too. These pics are not only the great golfers, they are the nicest golfers. They all go through my station and these three were extremely sweet to me and allowed me to take a picture with them. Ben Crenshaw who was gracious to me and gave me an autographed golf ball, Tom Kite with his infectious smile, and the handsome Hale Irwin.
There were a few other favorites of mine like Jim Thorpe, Jerry Pate, Tim Simpson, Loren Roberts, Chip Beck, Tom Purtzer, John Jacobs, Morris Hatalsky, Scott Simpson, and Mark Wiebe (He gave me a Titelist visor...sooo nice). Not only were they Gentlemen they were "down to earth" people. They are the ones that make it so rewarding for me to go out and volunteer my time every year. Last year Fuzzy Zoeller was here too and he is actually one of the nicest guys that I like.

We also got a van to shuttle around the golfers from the airport to the resort. David got to transport Keith Fergus whom I met yesterday. He is was so personable and appreciative to us for volunteering our time. It made me feel very happy about my time I spend out there.

My 18th Tee at Turtle Bay......

 

 

 

 

This is the 18th hole of the Palmer course at Turtle Bay. It is a par 5 and 577 yards.....from the tips. From the tee box the golfers have a number of obstacles such as a lake on the left about 290 yards out, a bunker in the middle of the fairway, and a huge lake on the right about 320 yards out. Additionally there are trees on the right side that usually catch the golfers that try to hit towards the dog leg right of the fairway. There is a chance to land on the plateau of green grass with a clear shot of the hole.

On Sunday David took a couple clients out to see some homes. He parked his car in the front of the seller's driveway and it got towed away during the 15 minutes he was in the house. After the car was towed, the seller found it important to tell David that the same thing happened to her son the month prior. You'd think she would have warned David before he parked there. Anyway, he was so upset because we ended up having to pick up the car in Honolulu and paying a crazy fee to get her out of jail. :)

Dinner at Ko'olina....Chuck's steakhouse

 

 

 

 

We tried something new in Ko'olina...Chuck's steak. It was decent. The atmosphere was spectacular and the service was great.
